Dashboard Builder<\/strong>\u00a0allows you to add\u00a0live CSV data from\u00a0the CKAN open-source data portal to the dashboard. This saves you from having to upload the CSV file into ArcGIS Online before using it in the dashboard. It also means that\u00a0any data updates in the CKAN portal will automatically reflect in the associated dashboard, so you don’t have to manually update data in Dashboard Builder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Before you add a CSV from CKAN portal<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Make sure that the first field column in the CSV file contains the same values as the dashboard ID field. This will be used as a common identifier to connect the CSV file to the dashboard.<\/p>\n

To add a CSV file from CKAN portal<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. On the Data Manager dialog, click Add CSV<\/strong> \"AddCSVButton\".<\/p>\n

2. Enter the CSV URL from the data portal into the the Enter URL<\/strong> box, in the Choose CSV Data<\/strong> dialog, in the dashboard Data Manager.<\/strong><\/p>\n

3. \u00a0Click Next\u00a0<\/strong>\"NextButton\".<\/p>\n

4. Click Finish\u00a0<\/strong>\"FinishButton\".<\/p>\n

5. The CSV data should now appear in the Source Data <\/strong>section and you can drag the data fields\u00a0to the Data Model<\/strong> section to be displayed\u00a0in the dashboard.<\/p>\n
