Each indicator value is represented by a symbol (horizontal bar by default) that is superimposed upon reversible colour ranges. Each range can be depicted as a performance category. Your audience can then easily tell which category each indicator is fallen into.<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"http:\/\/dashboards.instantatlas.com\/viewer\/report?appid=130672ae55f449a792104d50d7cc8b9e&amp;select=E05000323%2CE05000475%2CE05000330\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> to see a demo dashboard using a Performance Profile layout to show the indicator values.<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"http:\/\/dashboards.instantatlas.com\/viewer\/dashboard?appid=130672ae55f449a792104d50d7cc8b9e&amp;clear=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> to see this demo dashboard in the edit mode.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the steps to create a dashboard using Performance Profile layout as shown in the demo dashboard.<\/p>\n\n<p><a name=\"perfprof_layout\"><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Applying the Performance\u00a0Profile layout<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>1. In the Dashboard Editor, select <strong>Layout<\/strong> in the top menu.<\/p>\n<p>2. Under <strong>Profiling Areas<\/strong> section, hover over the <strong>Performance Profile<\/strong> layout and then click <strong>Apply<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>3. In the <strong>Continue?<\/strong> dialog, click <strong>Yes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Note: Any changes to widget properties (including table columns) will be lost if you apply a new layout.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"perfprof_dataprep\"><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Data Preparation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The horizontal bar in the performance profile chart in this demo dashboard uses indicator value as its source data, and you can see that the associated CSV file contains columns of indicator values as shown below.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.instantatlas.com\/dashboard-builder-agol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2016\/09\/PerformanceProfileCSV.png\" alt=\"Performance Profile CSV\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-13901 size-full\" width=\"933\" height=\"377\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.instantatlas.com\/dashboard-builder-agol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2016\/09\/PerformanceProfileCSV.png 933w, https:\/\/help.instantatlas.com\/dashboard-builder-agol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2016\/09\/PerformanceProfileCSV-300x121.png 300w, https:\/\/help.instantatlas.com\/dashboard-builder-agol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2016\/09\/PerformanceProfileCSV-768x310.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 933px) 100vw, 933px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span>Here two additional columns for each indicator have also been added. The trend values, &#8220;+&#8221; and &#8220;-&#8220;, will be used to display the symbols in the chart&#8217;s Trend column and the\u00a0target values will be depicted\u00a0as vertical markers superimposed on the horizontal bars on the performance profile\u00a0chart. Your audience will be able to easily identify the data trend and whether the target for a particular indicator has been reached or not. The target columns are specified as associate <strong>target\u00a0<\/strong>to be displayed as red vertical markers and the <strong>trend<\/strong> columns are set up as associate <strong>trend<\/strong>\u00a0for the arrow symbols in the performance profile chart&#8217;s Trend column.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"perfprof_config\"><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Configuring the Performance Profile widget<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h4><strong>Specify data source<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>By default the performance profile chart is using the indicator value as source data, but you can specify an associate as the source data instead.<\/p>\n<p>1. Select the <strong>Performance Profile<\/strong> widget. Its Properties panel should appear on the left.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click <strong>Columns<\/strong> to expand the section.<\/p>\n<p>3. Locate the column box for the performance profile chart. In the <strong>Bar<\/strong> section, in the <strong>Data Source<\/strong> box, specify a field from the list. In this demo dashboard it is the<strong> Indicator value<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Specify breaks for the colour ranges<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>By default, the breaks for the three individual colour ranges are automatically calculated depending on the values of each of the indicators. Click <strong>Chart Column Breaks<\/strong> to expand the section.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click <strong>Add Custom Indicator Breaks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>3. In the <strong>Indicator Breaks<\/strong> dialog, in the <strong>Breaks<\/strong> column, specify the breaks for each indicator separated by a comma. E.g. 0, 15, 30, 45. Click <strong>Apply<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Specify colours for the colour ranges<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>By default, there are three colour ranges for each indicator in the performance profile chart corresponding to the automatically calculated breaks. You can specify the interval label and colour in the <strong>Chart Column Breaks<\/strong> section. If custom breaks are specified, the number of colour ranges should correspond to the number of intervals in the custom breaks. For example, custom breaks of 0,10,20,30,40 will have 4 intervals and hence 4 colour ranges set.<\/p>\n<p>1. To add a new colour range, click <strong>New Break<\/strong> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.instantatlas.com\/dashboard-builder-agol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2016\/09\/AddNewBreakButton.png\" alt=\"Add New Break Button\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14011\" width=\"101\" height=\"36\" \/>in the <strong>Chart Column Breaks<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click <strong>Chart Column Targets<\/strong> to expand the section.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click <strong>New Target <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.instantatlas.com\/dashboard-builder-agol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2016\/09\/NewTargetsButton.png\" alt=\"New Targets Button\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13701\" width=\"115\" height=\"38\" \/><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>3. In the new target box, in the <strong>Data<\/strong> box, specify the data source for this target, in this demo dashboard\u00a0it is the associate\u00a0<strong>target<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>4. Rename the label in the <strong>Label<\/strong> box. The text here will be used as the tooltip.<\/p>\n<p>5. Select a shape for the vertical marker in the <strong>Shape<\/strong> box.<\/p>\n<p>6. To set it up, first add a new\u00a0column in the performance profile widget. Click <strong>Columns<\/strong> to expand the section.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click <strong>Add New Column<\/strong>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.instantatlas.com\/dashboard-builder-agol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2016\/09\/NewColumnButton.png\" alt=\"New Column Button\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14191\" width=\"125\" height=\"46\" \/>.<\/p>\n<p>3. In the new column box, specify the <strong>Symbol Source<\/strong> from the list of indicator\/associates. In the demo dashboard, two symbol boxes are required, one to set an Up arrow for the value &#8220;+&#8221; and the other to set up the Down arrow for the value &#8220;-&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>6.
