This layout is particular popular amongst health professionals. Here the indicator value is represented by a coloured symbol, with its colour representing its statistical significance. The indicator symbol resides on top of colour ranges which are centred around a median value or specified benchmark value, such as the national average.<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"http:\/\/dashboards.instantatlas.com\/viewer\/report?appid=55125bd51bdb44318a7d7c430b53dc20&amp;select=E05000323%2CE05000508%2CE05009324\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here <\/a>to see a demo dashboard using\u00a0a Health Profile layout.<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"http:\/\/dashboards.instantatlas.com\/viewer\/dashboard?appid=55125bd51bdb44318a7d7c430b53dc20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here <\/a>to see this demo dashboard in the edit mode.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the steps to create a dashboard using Health Profile layout as shown in the demo dashboard.<\/p>\n\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Applying the Health Profile layout<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>1. In the Dashboard Editor, select <strong>Layout<\/strong> in the top menu.<\/p>\n<p>2. Under <strong>Profiling Areas<\/strong> section, hover over the <strong>Health Profile<\/strong> layout and then click <strong>Apply<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>3. In the <strong>Continue?<\/strong> dialog, click <strong>Yes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Note: Any changes to widget properties (including table columns) will be lost if you apply a new layout.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Data Preparation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In order for the health profile chart to work as shown in the demo dashboard, the source table must contain a respective column for the indicator values, the benchmark values and the significance symbols values. Here the indicator value is used to define the position of the coloured area symbol on the health profile\u00a0chart; the national value (benchmark value) is used to centre the background coloured bar and the values in the column significance are used to link the area symbols set in the\u00a0health profile\u00a0chart. For example, the value \u2018worse\u2019 in the significance column will be replaced by a red diamond symbol on the chart. The associates are named as <strong>national<\/strong> and <strong>significance <\/strong>in this demo dashboard.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Configuring the Health Profile widget<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Health Profile widget can be configured after the data model has been structured in the data manager.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Specify Position, Symbol and Centre Value sources<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>1. Select the <strong>Health Profile<\/strong> widget. Its Properties panel should appear on the left.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click <strong>Columns<\/strong> to expand the section.<\/p>\n<p>3. Locate the column box for the health profile\u00a0chart. In the <strong>Area Symbol<\/strong> section, in the <strong>Position Source<\/strong> box, specify <strong>Indicator value<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>5. In the <strong>Symbol Source<\/strong> box, specify the associate used to display the significance symbols. Here it is the associate\u00a0<strong>significance<\/strong>. Note that the colour of the symbols will remain grey (default colour) until the appropriate symbols are added in the <strong>Symbols<\/strong> section.<\/p>\n<p>6. In the <strong>Centre Value<\/strong> box, specify the associate for the benchmark values, in this demo dashboard it&#8217;s the associate\u00a0<strong>national<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>7. The left, centre and right label names for the column can also be set in the <strong>Column Labels<\/strong> section here.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Specify Breaks for the Colour Ranges<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>By default, the breaks for the three individual colour ranges are automatically calculated for each indicator as quartiles. Click <strong>Chart Column Breaks<\/strong> to expand the section.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click <strong>Add Custom Indicator Breaks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>3. In the <strong>Indicator Breaks<\/strong> dialog, in the <strong>Breaks<\/strong> column, specify the breaks for each indicator separated by a comma. E.g. 0, 15, 30, 45. Click <strong>Apply<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Specify Colours for the Colour Ranges<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>By default, there are three colour ranges for each indicator in the health\u00a0profile chart corresponding to the automatically calculated breaks. You can specify the interval label and colour in the <strong>Chart Column Breaks<\/strong> section. If custom breaks are specified, the number of colour ranges should correspond to the number of intervals in the custom breaks. For example, custom breaks of 0,10,20,30,40 will have 4 intervals and hence 4 colour ranges set.<\/p>\n<p><span>1. To add a new colour range, click <\/span><strong>New Break<\/strong><span> <\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.instantatlas.com\/dashboard-builder-agol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2016\/09\/AddNewBreakButton.png\" alt=\"Add New Break Button\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14011\" width=\"101\" height=\"36\" \/><span>in the <\/span><strong>Chart Column Breaks<\/strong><span> section.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>2. <span>2. In the new break box, specify the <\/span><strong>Label<\/strong><span> and <\/span><strong>Colour<\/strong><span> for the interval.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Specify Symbols for the Symbol Source field<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>When the <strong>Symbol Source<\/strong> box is set in the <strong>Columns<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Area Symbol<\/strong> section, the health profile\u00a0chart will use the values from the data source field, in this demo dashboard\u00a0the associate\u00a0<strong>significance<\/strong>\u00a0values, to find a matching symbol from the <strong>Symbols<\/strong> section to be displayed as the area symbol.<\/p>\n<p>1. Click <strong>Symbols<\/strong> to expand the section. Here the <strong>significance<\/strong> associate is made up with three different values, \u2018worse\u2019, \u2019better\u2019 and \u2018none\u2019. In the <strong>Symbols<\/strong> section a separate symbol is created for each of the data values. Red diamond for the value \u2018worse\u2019 (see image below), green diamond for the value \u2018better\u2019 and yellow diamond for the value \u2018none&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.instantatlas.com\/dashboard-builder-agol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2016\/09\/HealthPofileSymbolWorse.png\" alt=\"Health Profile Symbol Worse\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14492\" width=\"293\" height=\"363\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.instantatlas.com\/dashboard-builder-agol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2016\/09\/HealthPofileSymbolWorse.png 293w, https:\/\/help.instantatlas.com\/dashboard-builder-agol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2016\/09\/HealthPofileSymbolWorse-242x300.png 242w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 293px) 100vw, 293px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>2. To add a new symbol, click <strong>New Symbol<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>3. Specify the <strong>Data Value<\/strong>, <strong>Label<\/strong>, <strong>Shape<\/strong>, <strong>Size<\/strong> and <strong>Colour<\/strong> fields.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Adding Targets<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Health Profile widget also allows you to add symbols on the\u00a0chart to denote target values of the specific indicators although this is not demonstrated in this demo dashboard.<\/p>\n<p>To insert a vertical marker of an associate\/indicator value, follow the steps below.<\/p>\n<p>1. Click <strong>Chart Column Targets<\/strong> to expand the section.<\/p>\n<p>2. Click <strong>New Target <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/help.instantatlas.com\/dashboard-builder-agol\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/41\/2016\/09\/NewTargetsButton.png\" alt=\"New Targets Button\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13701\" width=\"115\" height=\"38\" \/><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>3. In the new target box, in the <strong>Data<\/strong> box, specify the data source for this target (e.g. associate <strong>target<\/strong> in the image below).<\/p>\n<p>4. Rename the label in the <strong>Label<\/strong> box. The text here will be used as the tooltip.<\/p>\n<p>5. Select a shape for the vertical marker in the <strong>Shape<\/strong> box.<\/p>\n<p>6.
