To create a new dashboard click on the big orange New Dashboard button on the Dashboard Builder Home screen – you can’t miss it!<\/p>\n

Depending on what type of user you are, this can have different results as described below.<\/p>\n

Standard Users<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are a standard user, clicking on the New Dashboard button will bring up a screen that allows you to select an ArcGIS Online web map to base your dashboard on.<\/p>\n

Click on a web map and click the Choose button. You will be asked to provide a title for your new dashboard and select a folder to save it into before you will be taken to the Dashboard Editor screen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Data Catalog Users<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are a user with access to our National Data Catalog, clicking on the New Dashboard button will bring up two options: from Data Catalog and from Web Map.<\/p>\n

If you want to create a dashboard with data from the National Data Catalog click the “from Data Catalog” option. This will open a Choose Data Layer popup similar to the one shown below.<\/p>\n

Choose a data layer. This will create the dashboard and open a New Dashboard popup.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Choose a name and folder for your new dashboard and click the Create button. This will send you to the Dashboard Editor screen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you do not want to use data from the National Data Catalog in your dashboard, click the “from Web Map” option from the orange button instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Data Catalog Users<\/strong>
