Web Map Widget

General settings

The web map embeds an interactive map using data and base maps from ArcGIS Online into your report.
Zoom to Active Feature
By default the map will zoom in to the boundary of the area being reported. You can override this to show all of the features. Users of your report can still zoom in or out.
Show all Areas
By default all areas are displayed on the map. You can override this to show only the reported area if required.

Thematic mapping

The Thematic settings allow you to produce a thematic map based on one of the indicators in your data sources. Either use the ‘Thematic Map’ Quick Pick or set the properties manually in the ‘Thematic’ settings group (advanced enabled).

Apply To Layer Enables thematic mapping and all related settings.
Number of Classes If using Quantile, Equal Interval or Natural Breaks classification the number of classes to divide the data values. A Standard Deviation classification always uses 4 classes.
Legend Label If the legend is on, a label that identifies the layer/data used to draw the map. You can use special codes to show the indicator name (#INAME) and date (#IDATE). Indicator aliases defined in ‘Data’ are also taken into account.
Colors A color scheme to use when classifying your data. You can either use a keyword (red, green etc.) or 2 hexadecimal colors (e.g. #ff0000,#ccffcc) and the map will interpolate between them, based on the number of classes. Smart Rendering overrides your color settings.
Classification The classification method to use in your thematic map – one of Quantile, Equal Interval, Natural Breaks of Standard Deviation.
Legend Turn this on to show a legend that explains to end users what each class means.
Legend Anchor If the legend is on, the position of that legend within the map widget.
Smart Rendering Smart Rendering picks a color gradient that matches the selected base layer. This will override any Colors setting.
