Two new datasets (National Child Measurement Programme, and Gas and Electricity Consumption) were added to the National Data Service, and data was updated for Vacant Dwellings, Crime, Claimant Count, and Annual Population Survey.
New Data
National Child Measurement Programme
Data from the National Child Measurement Programme up to 2017-18 was published on 27 March, and added to the National Data Service on 2 April.
Gas and Electricity Consumption
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy publishes small area data on gas and electricity consumption on an annual basis. Data at LSOA and MSOA level for 2017, and for local authority and larger geographies for 2012-17 was added to the National Data Service on 23 April.
Data Updates
Vacant Dwellings
The 2018 data on vacant dwellings was published on 11 March, and made available on the National Data Service on 3 April.
Crime
The February 2019 update was released on 10 April and made available on 12 April. All live reports were updated by 12 April.
Claimant Count
The March 2019 claimant count data was released on 16 April, and available on the live sites on 17 April. All live reports were updated by the end of 18 April.
Annual Population Survey
The Annual Population Survey update covering the year to December 2018 was released on 16 April. This update included a recalculation of the rate data back to December 2012 to use the recently revised population estimates data – as a result of this, and some technical issues with the data, the APS update took longer than expected, with the new data made available on the National Data Service on 30 April.
May updates
Crime
The March 2019 update will be released in early May and will be added to the National Data Service shortly afterwards.
Claimant Count
The April 2019 data will be released on 14 May, and we aim to add this to the National Data Service within 2 working days. Unless there are significant changes the data is normally available the same day with the report updates following soon after.
Population by Nationality and Country of Birth
Data for 2018 will be published on 23 May and will be added to the National Data Service shortly afterwards.
